Privacy

We collect very little. This page explains what, why and for how long.

Last updated October 1, 2026.

Your location

If you choose “Use my location” or sort by distance, your browser asks for permission and then gives your position to the page. It is used once, in your browser, to sort salons by distance. It is not sent to our servers, stored or shared.

The add or update form

When you submit the form we store what you enter: the salon’s name, the listing address, whether you are the owner or a customer, the services you tell us about, your notes and, if you give it, your email address. We use this only to review and update listings and to reply to you about your submission. We don’t publish your email or use it for marketing.

Saved salons and comparisons

If you save or compare salons, the list is kept in your browser’s local storage on your device. It never leaves your device, and clearing your browser data removes it.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are visited. It uses cookies and collects information such as pages viewed and approximate location. You can opt out with your browser settings or Google’s opt-out tools.

Salon photos

Salon photos are loaded directly from Google’s image servers, which receive your IP address when a photo is shown. We don’t send them the page you are on.

Maps

Maps load only when you press “Show map”. Map images then come from OpenStreetMap, which receives your IP address like any website you visit. Links to Google Maps open Google’s site, which has its own privacy policy.

Salon information

Listings contain business information that salons make public: name, address, phone, hours and services. If you own a salon and want a listing corrected or removed, use the form.

Your choices

To ask what we hold about a submission you made, or to have it deleted, email lashstudiofinder@gmail.com.
